Meteorological measurement and environmental monitoring for over 30 years
Weather stations and measurement systems – from mountain to harbour
Reliable measurement stations for wind, snow, rain, sun, waves and water level – built to deliver year after year, even through mountain winters and in harbours. We take care of the whole chain, from choosing sensors and programming to installation, data collection and service.
Certified Campbell Scientific partner · distributor for Gill Instruments, R.M. Young, EKO Instruments, SOMMER Messtechnik, Zebra-Tech and Axis Communications

When standard won’t do
Fully customised systems and solutions
Many projects don’t fit a catalogue. Then we build the system to your requirements – from sensors and mechanics to logger programs, data flow and presentation. You get a solution that does exactly what you need, and a supplier who knows it inside out.
Tell us what you need- Stations for sites where standard solutions fall short – bare mountains, harbours and mines.
- Custom logger programs with calculations, control and alarms to your requirements.
- Sensors from several manufacturers in one system, via Modbus, SDI-12 or RS-485.
- Data wherever you want it: your own system, Airviro, a cloud service or a live data page.
- Solar and battery power for sites with no mains electricity.

From sensor to screen
A measurement station is more than the sensors on the mast. Here are the parts of a typical station and the path the values take to you.
Telemetry
Point at a number or a step to read more.
Wind sensor
Wind speed and direction, with ultrasonic sensors from Gill Instruments or propeller sensors from R.M. Young.
Temperature and humidity
The sensor sits in a radiation shield so that the sun does not heat it and give readings that are too high.
Pyranometer
Measures solar radiation from the whole sky. We supply pyranometers from EKO Instruments.
Camera
A network camera from Axis Communications shows the conditions on site, such as snow, ice or visibility.
Solar panel and battery
The power supply is sized for the site, including dark winters far from the grid.
Snow depth sensor
Measures the distance down to the snow surface with ultrasound, without contact. We supply sensors from SOMMER Messtechnik.
Precipitation gauge
Measures rain and snow. The wind shield around the gauge reduces the error when it is windy.
Data logger
The Campbell Scientific logger reads all the sensors, calculates averages and raises alarms at thresholds. We write the program.
Telemetry
The station sends its values wirelessly at regular intervals, usually over the mobile network.
Our data collection systems
Including Airviro. The values from every station arrive here, and we see at once if a station goes quiet.
Your system
The values are delivered as files or through an interface to your own system.
Live data page
A web page with current values, graphs and camera images for staff, customers or the public.
Alarms
An alarm goes out when a value passes a limit or when a station stops sending data.
From design to operation
Choose the whole chain or just the part where you need help. You always have one contact who knows your station in depth.
Design
We go through what to measure and why, choose sensors, siting and power supply, and send you a clear quote.
