Solution
Water level and flow
Measurement stations for water level and discharge in lakes, rivers, canals, dams and locks. With radar above the surface or pressure sensors below it, we measure the level around the clock – and the flow is either calculated or measured directly.
What we measure
The right method depends on the watercourse, the ice conditions and where the equipment can be mounted.
Water level by radar
A radar sensor above the water surface measures the level without touching the water.
Water level by pressure
A pressure sensor below the surface, when there is nothing to mount a radar on.
Discharge
Radar measuring surface velocity and level, or flow calculated from the level and a rating curve.
Water temperature
Temperature in the water, often from the same sensor that measures the level.
Water quality
Turbidity and conductivity to follow up sediment and discharges, for example during dredging.
Levelling surveys
Checking the station’s zero against benchmarks, so the levels can be trusted.
What your data can look like
The water level during a week with heavy rain. When the level passes the alarm level, an alarm goes out at once.
Example with made-up values.

How we deliver
The same person follows your station from the first sketch to service.
Design
Choice of method for the site, ice and watercourse, and placement of the equipment.
Installation
Installation, levelling and commissioning.
Data collection
Data via telemetry to your system or a live data page, with alarms at high levels.
Service
Service, levelling surveys and remote troubleshooting under an agreement.
Equipment we use
We choose instruments to suit the site and the task. These are often part of it.
Frequently asked questions
Radar or pressure sensor?
Radar measures without touching the water and is not affected by silt or ice in the water. Pressure sensors work where there is nothing to mount a radar on. We help you choose.
Can the station raise alarms at high levels?
Yes. The logger can raise an alarm when the level passes a threshold, and the values can be shown on a web page in real time.
Do you survey existing stations?
Yes. We check the stations’ zero level against benchmarks and adjust it if needed.
