CR6 – Campbell Scientific data logger

Certified Campbell Scientific partner

The CR6 is Campbell Scientific’s logger for measurement systems with many different sensor types. Twelve universal channels can be used as analog or digital inputs, and the logger also measures vibrating-wire sensors, which are common in geotechnics.

Suited to

  • Geotechnics and infrastructure

Vibrating-wire sensors, for example for pore pressure and strain, together with other sensors.

  • Environmental monitoring

Weather, water and soil in one station.

  • Research

Many channels and fast measurements, for example for eddy covariance flux measurements.

  • Networks of stations

The CR6 can also act as a node and gateway for other loggers and sensors.

More channels when you need them

If the channels are not enough, the CR6 can be expanded, for example with the AM16/32B relay multiplexer or the GRANITE VOLT 116 analog module.

When an older logger with many channels, such as a CR3000 or CR23X, is replaced, a CR6 or CR1000Xe with an extra analog module can be a good choice. We go through the sensors and suggest a solution.

Troubleshooting, updates, spare parts and service agreements.

Frequently asked questions about the CR6

How does it differ from the CR1000Xe?

The CR6 has twelve universal channels that can be analog or digital, and measures vibrating-wire sensors. The CR1000Xe has more conventional analog inputs and takes a supply of up to 36 V. We help you choose.

Can the CR6 have a built-in radio?

Yes. The CR6 is available with built-in Wi-Fi or radio, including for the 868 MHz band used in Europe.

Can a CR6 replace a CR3000?

Often, with an extra analog module if many channels are needed. We go through the sensors and suggest a solution.
