Solution
Automatic weather stations
Automatic weather stations measuring temperature, humidity, air pressure, wind, precipitation and visibility – for municipalities, government agencies, research, industry and infrastructure. We build the station for the site and deliver the data where you need it.
What we measure
A weather station is assembled from sensors chosen for what the data will be used for.
Temperature and humidity
In a radiation shield that keeps the sun out, with fan aspiration where accuracy requirements are high.
Air pressure
A barometer in the logger enclosure, for forecasting, aviation and correcting other measurements.
Precipitation
Tipping-bucket or weighing gauges, heated for snow and with a wind shield where needed.
Wind
Ultrasonic or propeller sensors at the top of the mast, with mean wind, gusts and direction.
Visibility and present weather
Visibility sensors that also identify present weather, such as fog, rain or snow.
Solar radiation
A pyranometer for global radiation – useful for both meteorology and energy calculations.
What your data can look like
Temperature and precipitation for one day, as they can be shown on a live data page. Point at the chart to see the value for each hour.

How we deliver
The same person follows your station from the first sketch to service.
Design
Siting according to meteorological practice, choice of sensors, mast and power supply.
Installation
Installation, cabling and commissioning – with every sensor checked on site.
Data collection
Data via telemetry to our data collection systems and on to your system or a public live data page.
Service
Regular service, exchange for calibrated sensors and remote troubleshooting.
Equipment we use
We choose instruments to suit the site and the task. These are often part of it.
- USA
Campbell Scientific
Data loggers such as the CR1000Xe and CR350, and the AtmosVue 30 visibility sensor.
- USA
R.M. Young
Wind sensors, barometers and radiation shields that last for years outdoors.
- United Kingdom
Gill Instruments
Ultrasonic anemometers and MaxiMet compact weather stations.
- Japan
EKO Instruments
Pyranometers for solar radiation.
Frequently asked questions
Can the station send data to our own system?
Yes. We deliver data as files or through an interface to your system, to Airviro or to a live data page on the web.
What is needed on site?
A spot with open exposure to wind and sun, a foundation or an existing mast, and mains power – or a solar panel and battery where there is none.
Can you extend or take over an existing station?
Yes. We add new sensors, replace loggers and take over service and programming, including older stations.
