Support and programming for Campbell Scientific
Certified Campbell Scientific partnerWe help you with stations that have Campbell Scientific loggers and sensors – new or old, and also when someone else built them. You get support directly from the people who write the logger programs and service the stations in the field.
What we help with
Troubleshooting
A station that has gone quiet, odd values or a sensor that has stopped responding. We often start remotely and go out when needed.
Program changes
New sensors, other measurement intervals, new calculations or alarms. We change the program and test it before it is loaded.
Logger updates
We update the logger’s operating system and settings and check that the program works afterwards.
Communication
Problems with mobile networks, radio or networks, and data that does not reach your system.
On-site service
Checks of sensors, power supply and cabling, and swaps to calibrated sensors, throughout Sweden.
Spare parts and service agreements
We source spare parts, help when equipment needs repair and offer service agreements for stations that must deliver unbroken data series.
CRBasic programming
CRBasic is the programming language of today’s Campbell Scientific loggers. The program decides what the station measures, calculates and passes on.
We write new programs and take over existing ones. A good program measures correctly, calculates averages and statistics in the logger, raises alarms when something goes wrong and stores data in tables that are easy to receive in other systems.
- New programs for weather, water, snow, soil and solar radiation.
- Review and correction of existing programs.
- Adapting programs to new sensors, for example with SDI-12 or Modbus.
- Calculations, alarms and control to your requirements.
- Moving programs between logger models and from EDLOG to CRBasic.
- Training for your staff.
What a simple program looks like
The program declares variables, describes a data table and measures in a loop that runs at regular intervals. Real station programs have more sensors, calculations and alarms, but the same structure.
' Example for the CR1000Xe: the logger's battery voltage and temperature
' are measured every minute and stored as hourly minimum and average respectively.

EndProgEDLOG and older loggers
Older loggers such as the CR10X, CR23X and CR510 are programmed in EDLOG. We change EDLOG programs and retrieve data from the stations, and when it is time to replace the logger we rewrite the program in CRBasic.
We compare the values from the old and the new logger, so that the data series is consistent before and after the switch.
Frequently asked questions about support
Do you help even if someone else built the station?
Yes. We are happy to take over programs and service for existing stations.
Can you help remotely?
Often. If the station has a remote connection, we can read the logger, retrieve data and change the program without going out.
Can you train our staff in CRBasic?
Yes. We teach you to handle the loggers and to write and change programs, preferably based on your own stations.
Which loggers do you help with?
Today’s loggers such as the CR1000Xe, CR6, CR350 and CR310, and older ones such as the CR1000X, CR1000, CR800, CR3000, CR10X, CR23X and CR510.
What does it cost?
It depends on the job. Tell us what you need help with, and we will make a proposal.
